Size: 37-44mm; Wingspan 53-66mm.
Mature only distinguishable by secondary genetalia.
♀ and young ♂︎ are almost totally unmarked on the side of the thorax except for 2 short, dark narrow stripes on the shoulder.
The abdomen is olive and edged with black and has a black dorsal stripe.
Pterostigma is amber.
