The palm-nut vulture (Gypohierax angolensis), is a large bird of prey in the family Accipitridae . Unusual for birds of prey, it feeds mainly on the fruit of the raphia palm - with which it is closely associated in South Africa. It also feeds on crabs, molluscs, locusts, and fish.
