The coconut lorikeet is a parrot in the family Psittaculidae. Seven species now recognised were once lumped together under Trichoglossus haematodus.

Lifespan, longevity, and ageing ⁸

Maximum longevity: 16.1 years (captivity)
Observations: In captivity, these animals can live over 16.1 years. There is one anecdotal report of an animal living more than 32 years in captivity but it remains unconfirmed (Brouwer et al. 2000).
