The yellow-tailed black cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus funereus) is a large cockatoo native to the south-east of Australia measuring 55–65 cm (22–26 in) in length. Observations: A pair of animals at Rotterdam Zoo are believed to be post-reproductive. The male is at least 37 years old and the female at least 41 (Brouwer et al. 2000).
