Rare and declining. The Tricolored Bat's coloration is distinctive, with a dark back, brown sides, and a white belly. Red wings are also nice field mark, though beware female Eastern Red Bat.

Range 3

Statewide except for Lake Superior area and Door Peninsula.

Habitat 3

In the summer roosts in hollow trees, hibernates in caves.

Size 3

2", wingspan 8-10".
