The magnolia warbler (Setophaga magnolia) is a member of the wood warbler family Parulidae.

Details 6

Description: white band across tail feathers, yellow belly with black streaks, gray head. Male has a black mask and back with white streaks in the wing. 5” head to tail.

Found in park: seen in Cades Cove

Habitat: low conifers, shrubs, and second growth forests

Status: more common in fall migration than spring.

Habitat 7

Most common in mixed riparian forests and stands of Balsam Poplar.

Vocalization 8

Weeta-weeta-weeteo. Call note a tslip.
