Ticks are a highly adaptable group of creatures and until recently were not of much concern in southwest Western Australia. They are however, a significant health threat in much of Australia for both animals and humans and are now emerging as a health threat here in Western Australia too.
This guide is aimed at promoting tick awareness and encouraging our community to record tick observations by posting to iNat. In doing so we can not only continue to safely enjoy this beautiful part of the world ourselves but can also contribute to the biosecurity for our wildlife.
