• Leaves: rounded tip, ¾-2 ¼ inches long, ¾ inch wide, 2-5 longer than wide, upper surface green and lower surface white
• Bark: Brown
• Fruit/Seed: cluster of pear shaped capsules, brown/red
• Height: 1-5 feet
• Flowering: April - June
• Habitat: bogs, fens, swamps, peatlands, floating mats less ↑
