Seamounts of Canada's Large Offshore Pacific Area of Interest (a MLNEP guide) [2020]

A major objective of the Marine Life of the Northeast Pacific (MLNEP) project is to support the accuracy and consistency of taxonomic identification in images, as well as to promote collaboration among stake-holders working within this region (project page: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/marine-life-of-the-northeast-pacific).

It is our intention that this online, open dialog between experts will help us build the largest, most reliable inventory of deep-sea NE Pacific species to date, providing a photo-based guide (and workflow) that will ultimately be beneficial for all deep-sea ecological research that follows.

This project, as well as much of the input from the experts, is supported by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO).
