Sora

The sora (Porzana carolina) is a small waterbird of the family Rallidae, sometimes also referred to as the sora rail or sora crake. The genus name Porzana is derived from Venetian terms for small rails, and Carolina refers to the Carolina Colony. "Sora" is probably taken from a Native American language.

The common gallinule (Gallinula galeata) is a bird in the family Rallidae. It was split from the common moorhen by the American Ornithologists' Union in July 2011. Gallinula melanops

The spot-flanked gallinule (Porphyriops melanops) is a species of bird in the family Rallidae. It is monotypic in the genus Porphyriops. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. Its natural habitats are swamps and freshwater lakes.

Porphyrio martinicus

The purple gallinule (Porphyrio martinicus, sometimes said as martinica) is a swamphen in the rail family, Rallidae. Also known locally as the yellow-legged gallinule. The specific name martinica denotes "of Martinique".

La tingua bogotana o rascón andino (Rallus semiplumbeus) es una especie de ave gruiforme de la familia Rallidae endémica de la Cordillera Oriental de Colombia, donde vive en pantanos y humedales entre los 2.000 y 4.000 m de altitud. Está amenazada por la destrucción de hábitat.
