This guide highlights common native and dominant non-native wildflowers found throughout Southeast Michigan, USA. This region is defined by seven counties (Oakland, Wayne, Washtenaw, Monroe, Livingston, Macomb and St. Clair) as established by the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG - semcog.org). The guide focuses on species found in open, grassland habitats including fields, roadsides, and prairies. This guide is a work-in-progress by the Jamieson Lab at Oakland University (www.jamiesonlab.com). The guide was initially developed in August 2020 and will be updated periodically.
