Common Swift
The Common Swift (Apus apus) is a medium-sized bird, superficially similar to the Barn Swallow or House Martin but somewhat larger. It is, however, completely unrelated to those passerine species, since swifts are in the separate order Apodiformes. Alpine Swift
The Alpine Swift (Tachymarptis melba) or Apus melba, is a species of swift. The bird is superficially similar to a large Barn Swallow or House Martin. It is, however, completely unrelated to those passerine species, since swifts are in the order Apodiformes. The resemblances between the groups are due to convergent evolution, reflecting similar life styles.
European Nightjar
The European Nightjar, Eurasian Nightjar or just Nightjar (Caprimulgus europaeus) is the only representative of the nightjar family of birds in most of Europe and temperate Asia.
