A guide developed to help community members identify butterflies in Putnam County, Indiana. Species include those that have not been observed in the county recently but have been spotted historically or have ranges that likely include this county have also been added. The species list is cross-referenced from iNaturalist records, Butterfly and Moths of North America (BAMONA), and the book Butterflies of Indiana by Jeffrey E. Belth. Of these possible species, roughly 30 have verifiable records although butterfly records from this region appear to be quite incomplete.
