Bumblebees of Texas

Nine bumblebee species have been documented from Texas. Species richness is greatest in the eastern portion of the state and declines westward into the Trans-Pecos. There is a real need to document bumblebee species occurrence in the state in order to evaluate their persistence and overall conservation status.
