Wildlife of Gujarat - India

Gujarat is one of the subcontinent's richest areas, in the Western part of India. Being one of the least well known wildlife locations, it is arguably at par with many other famous birding as well as herping locations within India.
Though an arid region, here the diversity of habitats ranges from a thousand-mile coastline to fresh water wetlands, salt marshes, mudflats, mangroves, rocky terrains and even forests like the dry-deciduous forests of Gir National Park (the last abode of the Asiatic Lions) all together creating a perfect platter of amazing wildlife + photographing opportunities. less ↑
