Being from Berkshire County, I decided to piece together a guide for Massachusetts for those who are interested in learning information about and identifying the amphibians and reptiles of Massachusetts. If a particular subspecies has been found in Massachusetts and it is not listed here, please inform me. If a subspecies is present but the defining charactoristics are not listed or mentioned anywhere, I may be hesitant to include them. I used the Official Website of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs to conduct this guide. The skink has puzzling records dated pre 1900 and may no longer or may not have been present ever.
