Greater Bee Fly

The large bee-fly, Bombylius major, is a bee mimic. The eggs are flicked by the adult female toward the entrance of the underground nests of solitary bees and wasps. After hatching, the larvae find their way into the nests to feed on the grubs.

Hermetia concinna

Hermetia concinna is a species of soldier fly in the family Stratiomyidae.

Yersin's Ground Mantis

Yersiniops solitarius is a species of praying mantis native to the United States. They are about 1 inch (2.5 cm) in length and have long rear legs which aid them in jumping.
