Taiwanese cheesewood
海桐屬常綠喬木或灌木，原產中國華南、越南、菲律賓以及台灣。樹高可達12m以上，嫩枝有紅褐色毛。革質倒卵形葉簇生於枝端，葉長4~10cm、寬3~5cm，白色中肋明顯，葉片搓揉有特殊氣味。繖房花序組成的圓錐花序自枝端伸出，白色花瓣5枚，直徑約0.5cm，具有芳香。黃色或淺橘色蒴果圓形，直徑約1cm，成熟裂開露出包覆紅色黏液的種子。開花期春至秋季，結果期秋至冬季。
