The river lapwing (Vanellus duvaucelii) is a lapwing species which breeds from the Indian Subcontinent eastwards to Southeast Asia. It range includes much of northern and northeastern India, stretching towards Myanmar, to Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. It appears to be entirely sedentary.
