The pond loach, dojo loach (ドジョウ, dojō), or oriental/Japanese weather loach (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus), is a freshwater fish in the loach family Cobitidae. They are native to East Asia but are also popular as an aquarium fish and introduced elsewhere in Asia and to Europe, North America and Australia. Cyprinus rubrofuscus, the Amur carp, is a species of cyprinid fish. It is widespread in Eastern Asia where native to Laos, Vietnam and China from the Amur to Red River drainages. The fathead minnow (Pimephales promelas) is a species of temperate freshwater fish belonging to the Pimephales genus of the cyprinid family.
