Palp-footed Spiders

Palpimanidae is a family of spiders, known as palp-footed spiders. The family is fairly small; it includes about 130 described species of ground-dwelling spider in 15 genera.

Diamond-headed Spiders

The Stenochilidae are a spider family with twelve described species in two genera. All species produce ecribellate silk (Griswold et al., 1999).

Pelican Spiders, Assassin Spiders, Long-necked Spiders

The Archaeidae are a spider family with about 70 described species in four genera, as of October 2016. Commonly known as assassin spiders, they are also known as pelican spiders, stemming from their specialised anatomy: they have elongated chelicerae (jaws) and necks for catching other spiders.
