Peaceful Betta

The peaceful betta or crescent betta, Betta imbellis, is native to Southeast Asia, where it occurs naturally in Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, and has been introduced to Singapore. It is an inhabitant of stagnant waters in swamps, rice paddies, ditches, and pools. This species grows to a length of 6 cm (2.4 in). It is found in the aquarium trade.

Betta livida

Betta livida is a species of gourami endemic to Malaysia, where it is only known from the state of Selangor. It is an inhabitant of peat swamps; it grows to a length of 3.6 cm (1.4 in).

Slender Betta

Betta bellica (slim betta) is a species of gourami native to Indonesia and Malaysia. It is an inhabitant of swamp forests and peat swamps. This species grows to a length of 10 cm (3.9 in). It can also be found in the aquarium trade.

Betta hipposideros

Betta hipposideros is a species of gourami native to Malaysia and Indonesia. It is an inhabitant of blackwater swamps. This species grows to a length of 7.8 cm (3.1 in).
