Forest Hill Park is the biggest park here in Richmond. It has a creek running through it (Reedy Creek) and a lake (Forest Hill Lake). It is home of a lot of wild life. Sometimes you may see students of Patrick Henry School playing there. They wouldn't even need to plan a field trip to go visit Forest Hill Park. Why? It's part of their back yard! Many people come to Forest Hill Park every day. At wintertime a lot of people come and sled at the big hill there. The history of this park is very rich. It used to be an amusement park there, complete with a roller-coaster and arcade. The only left part of the amusement park is the big house that used to be where the arcade was. Farthest north of this park is where Reedy Creek meets the James River. This is the best place to go rafting and canoeing.
