This Plants of the Middle Rio Grande field guide is a work in progress, representing the effort of Albuquerque-area students coming together to produce an invaluable resource for anyone wishing to learn more about the plants of the Middle Rio Grande Bosque. The guide is intended to be a multi-cultural, interdisciplinary service learning project that reflects our entire community’s relationship with the river and floodplain that sustains and unites us all. Entries are searchable and professionally fact-checked and edited for accuracy. The plants included in this guide were selected by each contributing author from a list compiled by the Bosque Ecosystem Monitoring Program (BEMP). This work is carried out as part of the Yerba Mansa Project’s educational programs.
