Sylvan Lake State Park encompasses a total of 1,574 acres of the area 10 miles south of the town of Eagle, Colorado. The park is situated within the White River National Forest, encompassing almost 4 miles of East Brush Creek and about 5½ miles along West Brush Creek. Adam Mountain (11,144 ft) and Mount Eve (11,158 ft) are located between these two creeks. The park extends from 7,500 feet in elevation at the visitor’s center to about 9,000 feet at the upper end of East Brush Creek. The combination of the relatively large elevation span and the 4 different aspects of the slopes surrounding the creeks create a very interesting and diverse park.
