Plants of Trinidad Lake State Park

Trinidad Lake State Park sits on 2,229 acres 5 miles to the southwest of Trinidad at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range in the Purgatoire River Valley. The ecosystems within the park make up the transition zone between the Rocky Mountains and Great Plains and include pinyon-juniper woodland and mixed grass communities alongside wetland and riparian areas, supporting a diverse community of plants. less ↑
