Plants of Ridgway State Park

Voted one of the top ten state parks in the country by National Geographic Traveler, Ridgway State Park’s scenic beauty and biological diversity are true assets to the state park system. Located in the Uncompahgre River Valley in west central Colorado, the park is surrounded by the San Juan Mountains to the south, Cimarron Ridge to the east, the Uncompahgre Plateau to the west, and the Uncompahgre River valley to the north.
Over 350,000 visitors a year take advantage of Ridgway’s 1,000 surface acres of water and 2,200 acres of land, finding numerous recreational opportunities. The most common activities are camping, fishing, boating, picnicking, swimming, sightseeing, wildlife watching, and walking. less ↑
