Neobiota Luxembourg

Invasive Alien Species (IAS) are species whose introduction into a natural environment causes serious negative impacts. The IAS are a threat to the biodiversity and related ecosystem services and can also cause other social and economic problems. This guide primarily aims to raise awareness about IAS already present, or of potential concern for Luxembourg. Many of these species are also of European concern and are targeted by the EU Regulation 1143/2014 on Invasive Alien Species.
