Flora and Fauna of Saltese Flats

Spokane County Environmental Services is working to restore wetlands at Saltese Flats. As part of the project, the County has purchased three parcels on the Flats, totaling 600 acres. We believe that restored wetlands in that area will provide benefits in several ways including restoring a diverse natural wildlife area.

Saltese Flats is home to many permanent and seasonal plants and animals and it is our hope that we can capture some of this biodiversity through iNaturalist. Please help us populate this guide to the Flora and Fauna of Saltese Flats by contributing to our species list! less ↑
