Eldorado National Forest Amphibians and Reptiles

This guide is dedicated to the amphibians and reptiles of the Eldorado National Forest. The primary focus of this guide are amphibians and reptiles that are associated with aquatic habitats (with a few exceptions).

Federally Threatened and Endangered Species:
Sierra Nevada Yellow-legged frog (listed in 2014)
Yosemite Toad (listed in 2014)
California Red-legged Frog (listed in 1996)

State Threatened and Endangered Species, or other:
Foothill Yellow-legged frog (Candidate for listing 2017)

Eldorado National Forest Sensitive Species:
Foothill Yellow-legged frog
Western Pond Turtle
