Eldorado National Forest Aquatic Benthic Macro-invertebrates

This is intended to be used to identify immature and adult stages of aquatic macro-invertebrates that are predaceous on the aquatic forms of amphibians. Additionally, documentation of a few other invertebrates are of interest to forest Aquatic Biologists (fairy shrimp and freshwater mussels).

There will be several images of nymphs/larvae and adults that will be to family. If you are unsure of family use sub-order etc. For example I will have different dragonfly nymphs by family, if you are unsure of family just use Sub-order Anisoptera, or Order Odonata etc. If adults are ovipositing and you can get a photo of the adults please email to AmphibianWatch@fs.fed.us and I can get a family name associated. less ↑
