The Gadwall (Anas strepera) is a common and widespread duck of the family Anatidae.
In summer, the Gadwall breeds primarily in wetlands surrounded by grasslands or prairie. In winter, Gadwalls frequent small ponds as well as freshwater and saltwater marshes.
