Soap Plants

The common names Soap Plant, Soaproot or Amole refer to the genus Chlorogalum. They are endemic to western North America, from Oregon to Baja California, and are mostly found in California.

Blue Dicks

Dichelostemma capitatum (syn. D. pulchellum), called Blue dicks, Purplehead and Brodiaea (alternate spellings, Brodiea, Brodeia) occur in Arizona, California, Oregon, Utah, New Mexico, and northern Mexico.

red brome

Bromus madritensis (also, B. matritensis) is a species of brome grass known by the common name compact brome.
