California Academy of Sciences, Swamp Gallery

A returning favorite from the original Steinhart Aquarium, the Swamp contains an albino American alligator, several alligator snapping turtles and a variety of fish. Visitors can view the animals from the surface as well as get eye to eye with the animals from an underwater window. A tank of fearsome alligator gars, which look like alligators but are actually fish, faces the Swamp.
