This guide was started in order to give some information about the marine biodiversity in the gulf of Thailand. Increasingly, the region has to cope with effects of climate change, tourism, industrialization and agriculture.
Whale shark
The whale shark (Rhincodon typus) is a slow-moving filter feeding shark and the largest known extant fish species. Bluespotted Stingray
The bluespotted stingray (Neotrygon kuhlii) or Kuhl's stingray, is a species of stingray of the Dasyatidae family. It is light green with blue spots.
