Description

Indentified by semi-cordate leaf base. Leaves were serrated and heteroblastic in nature showing a variety of lobing. Confirmed with field guide and Google Images.

Description

Identified by oblong blue-purplish drupes sitting on long pedicles that were clustered. Serrate leaves were oppositely arranged. Confirmed via Smith's Key and Google Images.

Description

Found along ditch south of ASU campus. Identified by serration of leaves and overall leaf shape. Also, color and texture of bark with lichen present also confirmed ID. Confirmed with Smith's Key and Field Guide.

Tree with small, entire leaves, accumulate tip sometimes curved, fruit a green ripening to red drupe.

Description

Very large tree approximately 13 m tall, growing at the edge of a parking lot of USFWS bunkhouse. Tree probably planted many years ago when buildings were constructed in the 1930s. Large, leathery, elliptical leaves, rusty tomentose below and green above. Fruiting: aggregate of bright red fleshy, strong-smelling follicles.

Description

Large tree, approximately 18 m tall. Leaves deeply lobed (sinuses deep) with bristle tips, base oblique. Most leaves have 4 sinuses and 5 lobes. Dark green above and light green below (abaxial).
