A common weed of residential lawns in this area. This was growing in the grassy area between the sidewalk and the street. Associates were other weedy species and cultivated lawn grass of some sort.

Large separation between male and female flowers (still visible on the fruiting stalk). Leaves really narrow. Other Typha species were here too, but I didn't photograph them.
