Brazilian Snapdragon (Matourea azurea)

Observer

nilbash

Date

Description

This particular specimen took some hunting what with its distinct 2-lobed purple/white fused corolla. The elliptical (and whorl) leaves with seemingly leaf like stipules and pinnate veining did little to assist in the search. Most likely because this flower is more common to Venezuela and Brazil than Australian gardens.
