The leaves mean it is not S. virginiensis or brook lettuce, but it sure looks like Saxifrage.
This is a Carolina Hemlock on HCC campus. While similar, there are notable differences from the Eastern Hemlock I posted earlier. Specifically the cone shape, both open and closed, and the bottle-brush like growth of the needles as opposed to the “part” between the Eastern Hemlock’s needles on the top and bottom of the twigs.
