Description

Maybe a Buteo regalis?
I spotted it while looking for plants on the side of road.
I didn't have my telephoto lens with me, shot this picture is a 100mm macro lens.

I had three of these in 2016, one in 2017 and this is the 2nd one in 2018. All are posted here on iNat. All have been late May and June.

Description

This is probably the most Snowy Plovers I've ever seen in one group -- 12. This is an iPhone-thru-spotting-scope shot, so it's not so clear. The Nature Preserve at Charlie's Pasture is an important place for these and other small plovers, including Piping and Semipalmated.
