Description

During the start of the eclipse neighbor hood dogs started to howl like crazy and then died down after about a minute. Birds still tweeted but it was less and sounded more panicked, two turkey vultures were flying near by and then immediately landed once the eclipse had started,

Largest feathers 5.5 to 7.5 inches long. White with ashen / gray splotches on undersides, closer to the tip of feathers. Some feathers had gray streaks along margins.

Description

These feathers were part of a group of them including downy feathers underneath a bird feeder. Unfortunately I think a winged predator took off with the dove.

Description

A hawk, I think immature Cooper's, came from behind me and landed on a pigeon about 15ft away in front of me. When I finally flicked my hand an eternity of maybe a whole second later, the hawk and pigeon both flew away in opposite directions.
