This specimen was bought in fish market in January 17, 2022. Ceratostoma burnetti lives in East and South sea of Korea. C. burnetti from Korea is known to have beautiful shell sculpture with well developed spines. The shell consists of 3 varices per whorl, each with spines connected with spiral lines expanded from varices. The color of the shell is brown with white interior.

Locality: gravel & shell rubble and/or on sand by shore, -0.1 low tide below the seawall at Dam Pond, East Marion, Suffolk County, New York bayside (=south side) of Route 25 East (Main Road), opposite Dam Pond in Peconic Bay, Suffolk County, New York, at west end of seawall 06 Nov 2022
