Description

Pacific Newt (roadkill)
Found dead on Alma Bridge Rd.

Note: since this carcass is significantly decomposed, I compared it with previous observations to ensure that no duplicates are added to the project.

*** Decomposition Rate Study ***
These observations show the decomposition of a newt over time. This will give us a sense of how fast the bodies decompose so that duplicate entries aren't added to the main project and the total count is more accurate.

Description

Pacific Newt (roadkill)
Found dead on Alma Bridge Rd.

I did one comprehensive sweep of Alma Bridge Rd. in Jan 2018. Many of the carcasses were
very dessicated/decomposed, but if you look closely you can see one or more of the following characteristics: general shape & size; skin texture and underbelly color; head, tail, bones such as carpals, tarsals, and vertebrae.

Note: unbundled 10 observations from this one on 1/21/2019.
