Description

With over ten miles of hiking, these were the only specimens of these we observed. Sorry, but we should have held something up for size reference. These were not large, maybe an inch or two tall.
We highly recommend this area for hiking, rock climbing, and the Via Ferrata for all skills at Torrent Falls.

Description

In a mixed hardwood forest in the Clifty Wilderness along the Osborne Bend Trail

I'm guessing this is an Amanita because of the universal veil remnants on the cap, ring (of sorts), volva, and white gills. Might belong in the section Lepidella.

If anyone can suggest a good source for identifying it further, I'd welcome that!
