Most leaves and flowers edible
Mucilage applied to skin to soothe burns and irritations

LAMIACEAE:
Crushed leaves added to water to purify it
Crushed leaves eaten to serve as a diaphoretic (pore opener) to assist with Flu

CONVOLVULACEAE:
Some seeds contain ergoline alkoloids with psychedelic properties

GERANIACEAE:
Tannic and gallic acids make plant parts very acidic
