Duncanville City Council has been deciding on what to do with this 42 acres along Ten Mile Creek, so the more evidence we can show that it's a refuge for biodiversity and the naturalists that engage with it, the better! I hope you can come!

300 acre park in Frisco -- they're just now starting the discussions on how to manage this area... We want them to keep the biodiversity in mind, so let's do that through some bioblitzing!

Super cool site with some really active master naturalist activity, but not a lot of insect observations -- we're planning a bioblitz to focus on the pollinators on this date. It's come and go, so stay as long as you'd like!

I've been up to the Grand Park in Frisco three times, and it does have potential; I found some great odes the last time I was up there, on Saturday. Looking forward to the bioblitz/mothing there.

I'll try to make the one in Frisco, at least the 8pm start. Hoping to start the day in Hagerman so may not make the earlier time. Will also try to spend at least some time at the one in Richardson. Where should we meet for them?

Hey all -- just got word -- we'll cancel the Friday night mothing event in Midlothian. Threats of hail make mothing no fun. So, stay safe -- and maybe keep an eye out for some moths outside of your places!

Looks like it's gonna be rainy, should I still gear up and head over?
I was thinking to try to head over after the current storm blows through - if it looks like it will be clear long enough... but I too am wondering if we're on for this evening. I'll check back in half an hour to see what's posted. @nathanmayflower I'm not fair from the area today but it's really coming down here.
@nathanmayflower and @scarletskylight Sam is already out there, so he may not be checking iNat. However, I just got a text from him that they are sitting in their cars waiting for it to blow over. I said I'm planning on coming up around 5pm and he said that was perfect. So it's still on.
Perfect, thanks for the update @annikaml! I'll try to make my way over once it clears. I may walk over - if I do, I'll be coming from the south side instead of the parking lot.
We did get poured on for a little bit!!! Fortunately, we were able to get a bit of iNatting in before and after the storm. :)
