Only one individual seen. I didn't have time to take a photo but did immediately record coordinates and time. The drawing is based off the individual seen, to the best of my ability. Transcript of notes: Flying in the surf in front of the boat Looked maybe 2 ft long? Hard to judge Body: dark blue-grey Fins light grey-blue Pale edges at the rear of both sets of fins Flew for several seconds - longer than I expected. A colony of ants was dormant inside. About 100 ants with eggs, individuals 1 to 2 mm in length. I places colony in a 35 mm petri dish with shavings.
