There were many of these creatures on the beach that day. But they only lingered for a couple of days and a week later they are not in evidence on the stretch from Main Beach to Mermaid Beach. I picked it up by the bell and carried it to the water because I wanted to see the length of the tentacles. It was carried out to sea and I ran beside it to get those 2 shots. The final static shot was taken by my wife so credit should go to Susan Raward but she signed a release to hand it over to me (verbal haha).
