I've just made the opposite field, With epiphyte for when the main observation is of the host.
Hi Jeremy,
Would you be OK with making this a taxon field with a names lookup? Otherwise, we'll get a mix of common names and scientific names, old and new, some with typos.
If you edit the field, and change it to type taxon, we'll have to look carefully to make sure that all of the existing observations using the field are dealt with correctly.
I can make this change for you, but only if you agree.
