Description

Field Notes - This tiny little beetle was found alongside our garden on the fence. Only a couple of mm in length. Mainly brown in colour but with a slight tinge of green in sunlight.

How many? - 5
Additional comments? - They were flying from branch to branch together when one decided to stop close to me. I had just the time to take these pictures and recognize the Brown Gerygone. Long white eyebrow. sides of neck pale grey. Flanks have brownish grey tint. Dark tail band, with white tip. body length 10 cm. It’s a Brown Gerygone race richmondu I think. You can see it on in the middle of these pictures.
